We are blessed.
Very blessed. Even when things didn’t go the way we want them to. (And sometimes they go the exact opposite.)
When it rains on the days we want to picnic. When the child we’re carrying goes to heaven before it sees the light of day. When a man drinks and drives his truck on the wrong side of the road to kill your entire family one spring morning.
We are blessed.
When joints stop working long before they should. When a heart attacks although there’s no reason for it. When a marriage ends, but it shouldn’t.
We ARE blessed.
He gave us colors in a world that could as easily have been shades of gray. He gave us music when we could have had none. He gave us wind for our kites and hills to coast down and smiles and kisses for lips that didn’t have to do more than open and close.
He gave us flavors.
- Friendship.
- Joy.
- Excitement.
- Imagination.
AND LOVE!
We are so very, very blessed!

Beautiful, sweet ‘Sister of Words’. Very well said, as usual, it came straight from the heart!

It did come from the heart, Deb. And from my verse this fortnight.
Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished. Luke 1:45.
Now I need to hear when the Lord speaks.
