One of the places G-Man and I had a great time was at Tombstone. At first, I was more than a little disapponted. It’s not the Tombstone from the movie(s). It’s not even the Tombstone of the 1800’s. But it’s a great place to visit, anyway.
We went into town, and right next to where we parked was the Bird Cage. It was the real thing bar/stage/poker parlor and, well, you-know-what. THOSE rooms, where you-know-what went on, were tiny, itsy bitsy. Of course, I guess there wasn’t a whole lot going on in there.
Remember the naughty picture Josie had taken for Behan. In the movie, they made a big deal about it. This is it–
Josie wasn’t the sweet person we saw on the movie. She was a madame. (I saw her licence to run a baudy house.)
There was a poker game there (next to the girls’ rooms) that went on for eight years, 24/7/365.
We took a stagecoach ride, too.
There were several men, dressed up to look like the guys from the movie.
We was wrong
But we strung him up
And now he’s gone.
Sometimes, they had a sense of humor. 🙂
